SCHOOL ETHOS
St. Andrew's is a Church of Ireland school and we teach the Church of Ireland Religious Education Follow Me curriculum in all classes. We also visit St. Andrew's church throughout the year. We also have many children in the school of different religions and no religion. Our ethos is to be inclusive and welcoming to all and our main focus would be on teaching morals and values such as kindness, friendship and looking after each other.
Our ethos is demonstrated through the respect shown for each person in the school - pupils, members of staff, parents and visitors. The school supports the principles of "inclusiveness, equality of access and participation in the school and respect for diversity of values, beliefs, traditions, languages and ways of life in society".
Our school aims to provide a happy, secure, friendly learning environment, where pupils, parents, teachers, special needs assistants, ancillary staff and Board of Management work in partnership. Each individual is valued, encouraged and respected for their uniqueness and facilitated to reach their full potential in a positive atmosphere.
